Rabbi Dan Ross

Title: Senior Jewish Educator

Rabbi Dan Ross is thrilled to be the new Senior Jewish Educator at Slifka Center. He is joining the Yale community after three years as a rabbinic intern at Columbia/Barnard Hillel. Originally from Merion Station, PA, Dan studied History and Science, Technology, and Society at the University of Pennsylvania. After graduating, he served for two years as a Teach For America corps member in Prince George’s County, Maryland, teaching 7th grade social studies while earning a Master of Arts in Teaching from American University. Following the Corps, Dan worked for two years at the Advisory Board Company, a health care research and consulting firm based in DC. In May 2018 he was ordained by the Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in New York, where he was a Wexner Graduate Fellow. Dan is always happy to talk about all things Harry Potter, Hamilton, and Pixar. He lives with his wife Jade, also a rabbi, and their ridiculously adorable dog Rashi.
