Title: Springboard Social Justice Fellow

Marlee Goldshine feels pumped up to be joining the Slifka Center as a Springboard Social Justice Fellow! She is from sunny Los Angeles, CA and recently graduated from Goucher College with a B.A. in Peace Studies and Gender Studies. She spent her free time at Hillel and Earl’s Place, a men’s homeless shelter in Baltimore City. She is passionate about advocacy and activism, which includes creating opportunities for marginalized voices to express themselves through art. She owes this to the women in her life, many of whom are Jewish, who have helped to guide her towards feeling confident and excited about what life has to offer. The fellowship is a dream come true, to pursue work that combines her love for all things Jewish and making the world a better place. She is crossing her fingers to go back to Israel soon because birthright changed her life when she was a freshman in college. She enjoys cooking without following a recipe, crafting, showing you pictures of her dogs, and having meaningful conversations.
