Family Weekend

FAMILY WEEKEND at Slifka Center: October 7-9, 2016

Slifka Center is delighted to welcome Yale families to join us for services, meals, a musical performance, and more during Family Weekend!  The Center will be open from 8:00am to 11pm on Friday, and 8:30am to 11pm on Saturday and Sunday.  Please visit the Allan and Leah Rabinowitz Gallery on the 2nd floor to see what’s on view, and feel free to ask for a tour at the front desk, we’ll be glad to arrange one any time.
Friday, October 7
5:30 pm – Shabbat Kiddush/Happy Hour
5:45 pm – Conservative/Egalitarian and Reform Shabbat Services
6:00 pm – Orthodox Minyan
7:00 pm – Family Style Shabbat Dinner hosted by The Yale Hillel Student Board – Register Here.
8:30 pm – Magevet, Yale’s Jewish a capella group, including the first public performance of the newest members

Saturday, October 8
9:14 am – Orthodox Shabbat Minyan
9:15 am – Conservative/Egalitarian Minyan
11:30 am – Communal Kiddush in Allan and Leah Rabinowitz Gallery
12:30 pm – Shabbat Lunch – Register Here.
3:00 pm – Afternoon Discussion with artist Richard Newton about his exhibition: BREAK THRU: Sculpture that Reflects the Human Experience. Refreshments to follow.
5:25 pm – Mincha, followed by Seudah Shlishit and Ma’ariv

Sunday, October 9
8:30 am – Orthodox Minyan
10:30 am to 1:00 pm –  Bagel Brunch, with bagels and lox, toppings and more! Register here or pay when you arrive.
