Friday Evening – Slifka Center Lobby

5:30pm Kiddush and Candles – All are welcome to stop by for an open house happy hour and building tours with Slifka Center staff. Enjoy a glass of wine with light refreshments and Shabbat candle lighting.

5:30-6:30pm  – Beit Midrash (Small Chapel), Second Floor

Shabbat Services – Orthodox Service facilitated by Slifka Center Campus Rabbi Dr. Alex Ozar, and Reform and/or Egalitarian/Conservative Services can take place with sufficient alumni leadership and interest. Please contact lynn.jackson@yale.edu for additional information.

6:30pm – Slifka Center’s Kikar Schusterman, Lower Level

Family-style Shabbat Dinner including challah, wine and a festive menu and atmosphere. Please reserve via your class’s reunion registration form – choosing the Slifka Center dining location. Reservations required.

Slifka’s Bagel Brunch – sponsored by John Sorkin ‘90 and Jessica Jacobson – open to all. Join us at 10 am for a facilitated conversation about Jewish life and the status of antisemitism at Yale with Slifka Campus facilitated by Sacha Litman ’95 and Campus Rabbi Alex Ozar.  

11:00 am – Sylvia Slifka Chapel, Second Floor

Slifka hosts “Morning at Yale” featuring Dr. Ra’anan Boustan, a 2024-25 Presidential Visiting Fellow at Yale Divinity School, in conversation with Rabbi Dr. Alex Ozar PhD ’21, Slifka Center Campus Rabbi.
