Commencement 2025

We are so excited to celebrate with you! 

Please stop by while you are on campus! Slifka will be open regular hours through Commencement Weekend, from 10:30am to 10:30pm Sunday through Friday, and 9am to 10:30pm on Saturday.

Slifka is proud to be a part of, and serve, the broader New Haven Jewish community. We hope you can enjoy some of the other local Kosher spots in town! We have a list of resources here.

Slifka Shabbat Dinner

Friday, May 16 from 7:30 to 9:30pm – Senior Families and their guests are invited to join us for a traditional Shabbat Dinner in Kikar Schusterman, Slifka Center’s Kosher Dining Hall.

Slifka Shabbat Lunch

Saturday, May 17 at 12:30pm – Senior Families and their guests are invited to join us for a Shabbat Lunch in Kikar Schusterman. Students, families, and guests can make reservations on our webpage here. 

Shabbat Services will be held, based on interest. Please reach out to Associate Chaplain Rachel Leiken (rachel.leiken@yale.edu) for Egalitarian services and Campus Rabbi Alex Ozar (alex.ozar@yale.edu), Co-Director and Educator, OU-Jewish Learning Initiative, for Orthodox Services.

Saturday, May 17 at 1:30pm – Slifka Class of 2025 Commencement Celebration!

Join us as we celebrate our graduating seniors during commencement weekend! The event will be in the Slifka chapel and feature remarks by Slifka staff, gifts to our graduating seniors, and refreshments. Students, families, and guests, please RSVP on our Google Form here.
