Yale Jewish Alumni – 2017 Reunions
All Yale College alumni and guests are invited to Joseph Slifka Center, your Jewish Alumni House at Yale. Schmooze with Slifka Center Rabbis and staff and catch up with old friends. We will offer Shabbat services, Kiddush/Happy Hour and meals throughout the weekend.
Slifka Center meals may be substituted for your pre-paid reunion meals. Please indicate that you will eat at Slifka Center when you register for your reunion (www.aya.yale.edu/reunions). We also ask that you let us know to help us with our planning by registering online at Slifka Center or by contacting Ellen Rabin at [email protected] or 203-432-7376. Please note that there are also a la carte meal options at Slifka Center in case you have not registered for your reunion.
Slifka Center Schedule for Yale Reunion Weekends
6:00 pm – Candle lighting with singing
6:15 pm – Kabbalat Shabbat Services
7:00 pm – Traditional Minyan
7:00 pm – Family style Shabbat Dinner (reservation required)
10:30 a am – NO Minyan unfortunately
12 noon – Shabbat Lunch (reservation required)
9:30 to 1:30 pm – Famous Bagel Brunch (reservation required)

Were you part of the student-run Young Israel House at Yale?
Did you eat Kosher meals at 305 Crown Street and share Shabbatot and YomTovim as students of Yale College, and of Yale University’s graduate and professional schools between 1973 and 1995?
Have you attended your class reunions and thought, the people I really want to see were from different classes and schools!
Let’s reunite and share another Shabbat together, with shmoozing, davening, communal meals, shiurim, and a Sunday Bagel Brunch!
REGISTRATION: Includes all meals for Shabbos and bagel brunch for Sunday, davening, panel discussions and shiurim, tours of 305 Crown and the new Buddhist Shrine where we used to daven under the bells in Harkness Tower. REGISTRATION DOES NOT INCLUDE HOUSING (see below)

We’ve made arrangement with three hotels. Please make reservations by directly contacting the hotels, and mentioning the Kosher Kitchen at Yale Reunion rate. The hotels are comfortable, convenient, and within walking distance of reunion venues. Be sure to ask about the availability of a non-electronic keys or an escort to unlock doors on Shabbat, if necessary.
*The Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale, 155 Temple Street, (203) 772-6664. Contact Leanne Monday through Friday. (www.omnihotels.com/hotels/ new-haven-yale). $189 per night, plus tax if reservations are made by July 1, 2017.

*The Q Club, 221 Church Street, (203) 562 3147 ([email protected]). Single queen room, $127; king suite $140; two twin $99 per night plus tax, limited number of rooms available. Note: They use old-fashioned keys.
Additionally, there’s also the Courtyard by Marriott New Haven Yale, 30 Whalley Avenue, (203) 777 6221. We have not reserved rooms there, but there are some available. The hotel has various promotional rates for AAA that may apply. Note: That have electric lobby doors.
Cancellation Policy: You may receive a full refund up to June 15th. From June 16th until August 1st, we can refund all but $25 on alumni, and a little less for guests. Please email Naomi if you need to cancel: [email protected]
