Welcome to Yale Hillel, housed at the Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish life at Yale University. We at Yale Hillel foster a vibrant, active, and diverse community on campus that is above all welcoming and inclusive. This website serves as a guide to the various aspects of our organization and includes many ways of getting involved. Yale Hillel offers a plethora of means for students to explore and celebrate their Jewish identities. They can dine on kosher meals every day, plan social action events , participate in study with rabbinic scholars, party at the annual Chanukah Ball, lead Shabbat services, travel to Israel, continue their personal journey in Jewish discovery, and make lifelong friendships.
Email Lists - Yale Hillel has two major email lists that are available for signup.
The primary Hillel list is used for weekly announcements, major notices, and big events on campus. It is open to anyone interested in hearing about what goes on in the Jewish community at Yale. Only administrators can send out to this list.
Hillel-talk is restricted to current undergraduates at Yale, and is a more informal way for members to talk about what’s going on. Students will often use this to publicize smaller events that others might be interested in attending, such as those from affiliated organizations. It is also a fun way to talk about Judaism in the news, and other interesting topics. All members can send to this list.
